The most important investment we make at Eilertsen Dental Care is in our team. They, along with our patients are our greatest asset.

Dr Eilert Eilertsen BDS (Dundee)1976

Dr. Eilertsen graduated from the University of Dundee in 1976, and opened his first practice in Dingwall in 1978. He has maintained a special interest in restorative dentistry and implantology since 1994.
He is an Association of Dental Implantologists mentor for dentists wishing to place or restore dental Implants. Dr Eilertsen is qualified to perform bone grafts and sinus lifts and routinely uses dental sedation for nervous or apprehensive patients.He carried out his training with Dr Hilt Tatum the originator of the sinus bone graft operation.He also trained with Dr Ashok Sethi one of the foremost implantologists in the UK.
He has placed more than a thousand dental implants and some of his patient testimonials can be read elsewhere on this site.

Dr Jennifer Eilertsen Bsc(Hons) BDS(Dundee) MJDF RCS (Eng) PG Cert Sed UCL (Eng)

Jennifer qualified as a dentist from Dundee in 2009 having already completed an honours degree in Human Anatomy. Having completed the MJDF, she is a member of the joint Faculty of General Dental Practice and the Royal College of Surgeons of  England. Jennifer is most interested in cosmetic and Implant dentistry. She is currently undergoing the prestigious Diploma in Implant dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, a rigerous 2-4 year programme based in London-the gold standard qualification in this field only held by a handful of clinicians in the country.

Jennifer has also trained in facial aesthetics, to provide 'Six Month Smiles’ cosmetic braces and completed a post graduate certificate in Sedation with the Eastman Dental Institute.  This provides the perfect adjunct for implant dentistry and is also very helpful for any nervous patients.

During her university years Jennifer developed an interest in triathlon and has recently completed the ironman world championships which are held every year in Hawaii.

Dr Andrea Walker
BDS (Hons), MFDS RCS (Edin), MSc (Dent Sci)

Andrea graduated from the University of Dundee in 2005.  After vocational training in Elgin and hospital jobs in Leeds, Bristol and Melbourne, Australia she settled in Inverness in 2009.  She completed the diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2007.

Andrea’s main interest in dentistry has always been oral surgery and she has been working as a Specialty Doctor in the Oral Surgery Department at Raigmore Hospital for the past 8 years.  She also currently works within the Public Dental Service in Inverness.  She undertook an MSc with the University of Glasgow in Primary Dental Care with a specialist interest in oral surgery which she passed with merit in 2014.

Diane Patience

Our Office Manageress has worked with Eilert and Margaret since 1999. Diane started off working in their laboratory before taking on her current role in the office. In her spare time Diane likes to walk her dogs and keep fit.

Jackie Thain

Jackie Thain, our receptionist, qualified as a dental nurse in May 1996.  Jackie was Dr Eilertsen’s first employee taken on as an enthusiastic sixteen year old! She has worked with Margaret and Eilert since 1978. In 1997 she also qualified as an Oral Health Educator. Jackie has gained invaluable knowledge and understanding of dentistry over the years. She has been lucky to work with such highly skilled dentists. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family.

Shonagh Morrison

Shonagh qualified as a dental hygienist from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in 1990. She  worked in General Practice in Manchester before returning to Inverness and has worked in mainly private practices in the area over the last 19 years.
Shonagh attends Continuing Professional Development courses regularly as required by The General Dental Council and has a special interest in new treatments of periodontal disease and looking after patients with implants.
Shonagh lives with her partner Rory and they have 2 young children. She enjoys pilates and is a keen swimmer. She also enjoys hill walking, preferably in good weather!

Emma Hutchison

Emma qualified whist serving in the Royal Air Force where she met her husband who was in the army.  After getting married they had two boys and decided to settle in Inverness in 2009. 
Emma has lots of experience in private practice with treatment of gum disease and cleaning around implants.  She regularly attends continuing professional development courses to keep up with the latest techniques and best practice.
When not studying Emma enjoys travelling around in the family trailer tent with her husband Steve, their boys and cocker spaniel.

Louise Shenfield RDH RCS Edinburgh

Louise qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 2001 and has worked in Eilertsen Dental Care since 2009.  She is a member of the British Society of Dental Therapists & Hygienists.  She attends courses regularly to continue her professional development as per the requirements of the GDC.   Louise has a keen interest in periodontal health and enjoys helping patients to look after their dental implants. 

Lindsey Munro

Lindsey is our Head Nurse and has worked with Eilert and Margaret since leaving school in 2006.  Lindsey,a qualified dental nurse since 2009,  is trained in dental sedation and passed the dental radiography SVQ in 2012. Lindsey was awarded the Professional Development Award in Intravenous Sedation in early 2017. She routinely works with Dr Eilertsen assisting with implant procedures, sedation and cosmetic treatments.
In her spare time Lindsey enjoys competing with her horse Toby.

Sophie Polworth

Sophie has been with the practice since November 2010 and qualified as a dental nurse in 2011. Sophie completed the SAAD dental nurses sedation course in London in November 2012 and also passed her SVQ in dental radiography in 2015.  Sophie is trained in first aid and all aspects of routine dental nursing but also assists with sedation and implant procedures.  When Sophie is not at work she enjoys spending time with her young daughter.

Francesca Bain  
GDC NUMBER : 248613

Francesca joined the practice in March 2012 and having completed her SVQ in dental nursing is now GDC registered. In November 2012 she attended the SAAD dental nurses sedation course in London. Francesca has recently passed her NEBDN certificate in Oral  Health Education. Francesca routinely works with Dr Jennifer Eilertsen assisting with six month smiles, cosmetic procedures, sedation and implant dentistry. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family&friends and walking her two dogs.
